An excerpt from a letter from Kenting Tai Situpa concerning this project:
Currently we don't have enough accommodations and facilities for those who come to Sherabling for Dharma practice or study.
This coming project have l25 rooms with attached bath and the view of every room will give great pleasant to have relaxation also affiliated with kitchen and dining hall and office.
There will be also main shrine hall, which can accommodate 3 to 4 hundred students, and all the yearly Dharma course will take place here including Mahamudra course of seven years.

The Institute is located south of the Palpung Sherabling guesthouse. Ven Thutop Rinpoche was appointed by Kenting Tai Situpa to be in charge of this project. The design planning was completed at the end of 2005 and construction began at the beginning of 2006.
