After many requests from the nuns and local people H.H.14th Dalai Lama made a visit on August 22nd to the Kamtsang Thubten Ozer Rabgye Ling Nunnery in Kinnaur. H.H. was formally welcomed by all the nuns and laypeople. After offerings of tea and traditional sweet rice (Dresi) the nuns offered the supports for Body, Speech and Mind along with a Mandala (mendal tensum) with prayers for the long life of H.H. Dalai Lama.

After the long-life ceremony H.H. gave profound teachings and all who attended felt very blessed.

This is the second time H.H. Dalai Lama has visited this Nunnery. On this auspicious occasion the Head of the Nunnery showed H.H. around the mountainous area of Nago Kinnaur which are at the foot of the Himalayas. H.H. Dalai Lama stayed in Nago for a few days and bestowed empowerments. Kagyu Thubten Ozer Rabgye Ling is a branch of Palpung Monastery in India.
