On the afternoon of October 5th, 2009, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa kindly bestowed the Vajrasattava Empowerment in the main shrine hall at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. This is an important step in the Ngondro practice and is taken prior to starting the one-hundred-thousand repetitions of the hundred syllable mantra of Vajrasattva. Vajrasattva practice is the second of the main foundation practices and is related to the purification of speech and negative mental patterns. This purification is accomplished through the blessing of Vajrasattava generated during the practice.
