Today 5th July 2011, The Vajradhara 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa officially announced the opening of Palpung Higher Tibetan Studies Center (Rigney Lobling Dhon Nyei Norbui Gatsal) at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. At Present there are 41 students; most of students were from Palpung Sherabling and few from other Kagyu Monastery in India, Nepal and Bhutan. Five nuns from Yeshi Rabgyeling Kullu nunnery (Sherabling's Branch).

Rinpoche appointed the masters, Khenpo Tsering Palden is head of the Center, Nangyal Atisha Sherab Nyima is professor of Tibetan Grammar, literature, handwriting, Apa Dr Sonam Rinchen is Tibetan Medicine's Professor. Tsepa Tensang is Astrology's proferssor.

Rinpoche also gave teaching on importance of this center.
