At the request of Tergar International, from 14th – 20th March 2014 Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa gave seven days of teachings followed by an empowerment at Tergar Monastery in Bodhgaya. For the first three days, Guru Vajradhara covered various topics to give primarily beginner dharma practitioners a comprehensive introduction to Buddhism. In the next three days, Guru Vajradhara taught the Aspiration Prayer of Samanthabadra (Kuntu Zangpo Monlam) from the Tantra of Wide Open Mind of Samanthabadra aimed at more advanced practitioners. The teachings were given in Tibetan and translated into six foreign languages. On the last day, Guru Vajradhara bestowed the empowerment of Vajrasattva to the assembly of more than 400 sangha members and students from a number of different countries and also gave refuge and bodhisattva vows to a smaller group who requested these. Everyone who attended the teachings and empowerment felt extremely fortunate and blessed to receive such profound transmissions from Guru Vajradhara in this sacred place of Bodhagaya.
