From 22 - 27 March 2014, at the request of a group of students who completed the six-year Mahamudra Ocean of Certainty course, Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa gave 6 days of teachings on Tilopa’s Pith Instructions on Ganges Mahamudra (Mahamudra Gangama) at Terger Monastery in Bodhgaya, Bihar. These teaching were supportive transmissions for Mahamudra teachings previously given in the six year Mahamudra Ocean of Certainty course. The profound teachings of the Ganges Mahamudra were taught by the great Tilopa to the wise and learned Naropa on the banks of the river Ganges. Guru Vajradhara gave the teachings in Tibetan and they were translated into English, Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian. The schedule for each day began with group practice in green tara, two sessions of teachings during the day and then Mahakala puja or calling the guru from afar group practice at the conclusion of each day. On 28 March 2014, Guru Vajradhara bestowed the empowerment of White Tara and also gave refuge and bodhisattva vows. The teachings and empowerment were attended by over 300 members of sangha and disciples from many foreign countries. All those who attended the teachings and empowerment felt extremely blessed to receive such profound instructions by Guru Vajradhara in the place of Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment.
