On the 23rd of September 2014, the one and a half month long regular rainy season retreat at Palpung Sherabling Higher Tibetan Buddhist Studies (shedra) concluded blissfully. At about 7pm on the last day of the retreat, His Eminence the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Chokyi Nyima gave his blessing at the request of the discipline master, khenpos and sangha.

Every year on this sacred and important day, a few monks from shedra give teachings and many others engage in debating on Buddhism in the traditional manner in the presence of all the Rinpoches, Lamas, Khenpos, monks, nuns and lay people gathered together.
