On the 21st of February 2015 an event was conducted to mark the auspicious completion of the newly built Palpung Sherabling Shedra Lungrig Jampal Ling (Monastic University of Higher Buddhist Studies) under the blessing of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. Early in the morning Shedra monks conducted prayers and then Guru Vajradhara arrived in the shrine hall and gave an elaborate teaching and advice to all the monks, nuns and lay devotees. In the afternoon, the monks and nuns of Palpung Shedra demonstrated debating and held discussions on various subjects concerning Buddhist philosophy. At the end of the day, Guru Vajradhara asked the monks and nuns to do dedication prayers for the merit of the Sponsor because it was her pure devotion to Guru Vajradhara and merit that made possible the magnificent facilities at the Shedra for the lineage of the Buddha dharma.
