Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat celebrates 10th anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava’s Grand Puja

Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat celebrated its 10th anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava's Grand Puja and Vajra Nyitham under the considerate guidance and blessings of the supreme head of Palpung Institution of Buddhism, Guru Vajradhara The 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.

The event began on 12th of November and concluded on 21st November amidst much fervor and enthusiasm. On 21st of November the occasion of the celebration of 10th Anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava Grand ceremony and Vajra Nyitham (Lama Dance) was held at Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat with the blessing of Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.

On this day the chief guest was His Excellency Shri Kiren Rijiju, Honorable Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India. On the morning of the arrival at Palpung Sherabling Monastic seat there was a welcome ceremony followed by a speech by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. His Excellency Shri Kiren Rijiju, delivered a profound speech for the Sangha and public at that gathering.

After the welcome ceremony the Grand Lama Dance of Guru Rinpoche commenced.

The sacred Vajra Nyitham or Lama Dance of Guru Rinpoche is according to the original tradition of the Great Neu Dhong Monastic Seat from Central Tibet, which has been in the Buddhist culture for 1195 years and has been adopted by many Monasteries across Tibet.

This 300 years old tradition of the Lineage is still preserved at Palpung Thubten Choekhor Ling Monastic Seat by the Great Mahapandita The Eighth Kenting Tai Situpa Choekyi Jungney. Continuation of these profound practices of Guru Rinpoche and Lama Dance was re- introduced by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa Pema Dhonyod Nyinjed at Palpung Sherabling monastic seat, (H.P)India.

This kind of grand ceremony and Lama dance is one of the highest practices of Vajrayana Buddhism to transform all the negativity into purity and all individuals who are performing the ceremonial dance visualize oneness with Guru Rinpoche and by doing so all the viewer also receive the blessing as from Guru Rinpoche.

Vajra Nyitham or Lama Dance is also a great blessing for the environment and all sentient beings globally to tranquility, peace and harmony and to sow the seeds of enlightenment. Vajra Nyitham transforms negativity into the harmony of wisdom and compassion. They also provide serenity and peace to the practitioner and the viewer who is seeking enlightenment through meditation, prayer and rejoicing with devotion and faith in Guru Rinpoche.

His Excellency Shri Kiren Rijiju and all other dignitaries from local areas, as well as all devotees from around the Himalayan region who came to Palpung Sherabling monastic seat spent the rest of day receiving blessings following The Grand Lama dance of Guru Padmasambhava. His Excellency Shri Kiren Rijiju returned to Delhi the same afternoon.

A host of dignitaries from the media and other distinguished guests from across the world also attended this scared ceremony.
