On November 17, 2020, Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat’s Tulku Monlam Rigsey and the headmaster of the University of Buddhist Sciences Aepa Sonam Rinchen, along with the third group of the first batch of medicine and astrology graduates, entered a four-month retreat at the Shangpa Retreat Centre. At the beginning, all the retreatants performed the rituals for eliminating obstacles, and after that the physicians dedicated themselves to the practices of the outer, inner, and secret levels of the guru yoga of Yuthok Yönten Gönpo, while the astrologers engaged in the practices of the Embodiment of All Five Buddha Families aspect of Manjushri, as well as Red Sarasvati. On March 21, 2021, this retreat that had been virtuous from beginning to end was successfully completed.
