In the early morning on Feburary 10, 2024, the first day of the Tibetan new year in the sign of the Male Wood Dragon, the monastic community of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat observed this auspicious beginning with a smoke offering ritual, which included offerings and praises to the Three Roots to invoke their activity and an exhortation by the power of the truth to the oath-bound Dharma protectors.

When the ritual was completed, the monastics and laity who reside at the monastery were seated in rows according to the traditional seating arrangement. Following that, Guru Vajradhara arrived at the temple and everyone enjoyed an auspicious feast of ceremonial tea and sweet rice, along with traditional elaborate arrangements of food offerings. The auspicious and joyful Male Wood Dragon Losar celebration was concluded by Guru Vajradhara bestowing individual blessings to everyone present.
