In the morning of February 20, 2024, escorted by Sikkim state’s Sangha Minister and other government officials, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa departed from Gangtok. During the journey, he first visited Mane Chokhor Ling Monastery at Ravangla in South Sikkim, where he was warmly welcomed by Venerable Sangter Rinpoche, along with tulkus, lamas, and monastic communities from Old Ralang Monastery and Densa Palchen Chosling, Kewzing Monastery, Doling Monastery, as well as numerous lay devotees. A mandala, along with sacred symbols of the Buddha's body, speech, and mind, was offered to Guru Vajradhara, after which he conferred a blessing and performed a consecration ceremony for everyone present. Following that, Guru Vajradhara visited Tathagata Tsal, where he paid respect to the sacred grand statue of Buddha Shakyamuni and toured the temples and surroundings.
