In accordance with the schedule planned by the State Government, in the afternoon of February 20, 2024, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and his entourage departed from Ravangla and traveled to Pelling in West Sikkim. There, he was received with a warm welcome at his residence, Chumbi Resort, by the leaders and monastic community from Sanga Choeling Monastery and several government officials.

On the following day, Guru Vajradhara proceeded to Pemayangtse Monastery, where he was welcomed with an elaborate golden procession by the Yap Lama, monastics of Sangchen Pemayangtse Monastery and numerous local and visiting lay devotees. Guru Vajradhara first visited sacred temples on various stories of the monastery. H.H. spent quality time at the sacred Sangdokpalri shrine in deep prayers. Following that, he was offered a mandala and the three sacred representations by the monastery's leaders and monastics.

Guru Vajradhara then bestowed the Guru Rinpoche longevity empowerment to all the monastic and lay devotees gathered there and delivered a teaching on Guru Rinpoche's immense kindness to the Buddha's teachings in general, Tibetan Buddhism in particular, and especially to the sacred hidden Dharma land of Sikkim. Guru Vajradhara concluded this sacred event by walking between the rows of devotees and conferring the empowerment to each participant.

On February 22, Guru Vajradhara, along with his entourage, departed from Pelling. He was escorted to Bagdogra Airport by the Honorable Sangha Minister and other government officials, along with representatives from the three Kagyu monasteries and Rumtek Monastic Seat. Guru Vajradhara's visit to Sikkim was thus auspiciously concluded, and he safely returned to India's capital, Delhi.
