After the successful bestowal of several tantric empowerments of the Karma Kamtsang lineage over eight days, Guru Vajradhara the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa began on November 25 the transmission of the twelve foundational practices (ngondro) of Mahamudra, which is the quintessence of all sutras and tantras. The transmission consists of instructions as well as guided meditations on each of the foundations. Thus, Guru Vajradhara is fulfilling the wishes of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa and the hopes of the entire monastic community of Rumtek Monastic Seat. The transmission is taking place at the Kagyu Monlam Pavilion in close proximity of the great Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, attended by over five thousand fortunate disciples from all over the world.
