From December 5 to 9, the Very Venerable Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche continued with the transmission of the Words of My Perfect Teacher, which is in its second of five years.

Over three hundred Dharma students from all over the world participated in this transmission that took place at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat. The teaching was requested and organized by the Palpung Institute of Buddhist Studies.

Words of My Perfect Teacher is a commentary on the preliminary practices of the Longchen Nyingthig (The Heart Essence of the Great Expanse). Longchen Nyingthig is a Dzogchen cycle which belongs to Ati Yoga, the pinnacle of nine yanas.

Combining the quintessential instructions that he received from his Gurus with his own experience, Rinpoche’s explanations were clear and easy to understand. Rinpoche illustrated the crucial points of the Words of My Perfect Teacher with practical examples and accompanied the commentary of each section of the text with meditation instructions. He also clarified doubts by answering the students’ questions related to the teaching. Thus Rinpoche fulfilled the wishes of the faithful students, just as they had hoped.
