On July 24, 2020, Guru Vajradhara the 12thChamgon Kenting Tai Situpa presided over the ceremony of theannouncement of the 2019 annual exam results of the Palpung Sherabling Monastic College and the Palpung University of Buddhist Sciences, along with the 2020 Monastic College graduation, appointment of new khenpos and acharyas, and designation of new teachers and staff for each department.

In the presence of khenpos, acharyas, staff and the monastic communities of the Monastic College and the Buddhist Sciences University, as well as teachers and staff of other departments, the ceremony began with a presentation of five excellencies, debates on scriptures and reasoning, and discourses on sacred Dharma. Following that, the headmasters of each department announced the results of various exams and Guru Vajradhara rewarded the top students andpresented certificates and appointment letters to the graduates, khenpos, and acharyas. After that, Guru Vajradharaappointed the head khenpo, chief khenpo, discipline master, and discipline assistants for the Monastic College, assigned duties to the graduates, and also designated the headmaster, discipline master and discipline assistants for the Buddhist Sciences University, as well as the person in charge of taking care of the environment.

Guru Vajradhara also read and explained the revised Monastic College rules of discipline and gave a teaching on proper conduct during daily activities. The ceremony was concluded by an elaborate long life offering performed by the new graduates to express their gratitude for Guru Vajradhara’s kindness.
