In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on March 15, 2021 Palpung Munishasan Dharma Chakra Sangh organized a group of senior monastics above the age of 60 and elderly lay people. These twenty members of the Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat community were the first ones to receive the Covishield Covid-19 vaccine provided for free by the Indian central government at the Community Health Centre in Bir.
