On June 16 and 18, 2021, about seventy teachers, staff, and health workers between the ages of 18 and 44 received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Mahakal Primary Health Center, Baijnath. With a special permission from the head official of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), khenpos, acharyas, chanting masters, discipline masters, and teachers of the Tantric College, the Monastic College, the University of Buddhist Sciences, and the Monastic Primary School departments of the monastic seat, along with volunteer frontline workers, were vaccinated with the Covishield vaccine provided by the Government of India.
