With permission from the Local and the Central Government of India, Palpung Munishasan Dharma Chakra Sangh charitable society organized the vaccination of Palpung Sherabling monks, nuns, and workers, as well as some local people with a connection to the monastic seat.

The required amount of the Covishield vaccine was purchased in advance from Fortis Hospital in Kangra, one of the best hospitals in the area, a specialized doctor along with the necessary number of health workers were invited to the monastic seat, and on June 23 and 24, 2021, about four hundred members of the community between the ages of 18 and 44 received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
