From September 7 to 9, 2021, Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat’s Palpung Munishasan Dharmachakra Sangh Charitable Society organized and sponsored the second dose Covid-19 vaccination camp for local monastic and lay people above the age of 18. The required amount of the vaccine was purchased in advance from Fortis Hospital in Kangra, one of the top hospitals in Himachal Pradesh, and a team of doctors and health workers was invited to conduct the vaccination by offering the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to about 1,600 people, which included the local communities of the Tibetan settlements of Bir, Chauntra, and Suja, monastics from eight monasteries, and teachers, staff, and students from three large schools.
