On September 23, 2021, Guru Vajradhara H.H. the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa was welcomed to Riglam Kyetsal Monastic Primary School's new shrine hall by an elaborate procession of its teachers, staff, and students. On the way to the shrine hall, Guru Vajradhara was presented with an exhibition of the students' calligraphies.
The graduation ceremony began with an offering of the mandala, along with the three representations, and a serving of tea and sweet rice, followed by an introduction and progress report by the school’s principal. After that, the graduates and other students presented discussions and analyses on several subjects, such as grammar and Buddhism, as well as essays about Guru Vajradhara's activities and the appreciation of his kindness. All these were presented in Tibetan, Hindi, and English.
The program continued with Guru Vajradhara presenting certificates to the graduates and prizes to this year’s top students, as well as appointing the director of the Sanskrit department, presenting its preliminary curriculum, and assigning students who will study at this department. Guru Vajradhara then bestowed a lecture on how the lineage constitutes the basis for the Buddhist teachings and practice, how the Tibetan language is essential for its preservation, and how the guidance of parents and advice of elders constitute the main condition for a child to be able to live a meaningful life.
In the evening, the Monastic Primary School's graduation ceremony was auspiciously concluded with a cultural program, during which the school’s students performed various traditional and modern songs, dances, and theatrical plays.
