From October 26 to 28, 2021, the nunnery's khenpo, the nuns who have completed the three-year retreat, and the majority monastic community performed a vast accumulation of merit and extensive offerings in the form of a three-day practice of The Profound Instructions on the Severance of Maras, along with its related wondrous ganachakra feasts, at the Palpung Yeshi Rabgye Ling Nunnery. Based on pith instructions of the past masters combined with the ritual tradition of the lineage, they conducted this practice of Chöd, also known as The Sacred Teaching that Pacifies Suffering, which originated from Machik Labdrön, a wisdom dakini in human form who was prophesized by the Buddha in the Manjushri Root Tantra and other scriptures. She received this transmission as an oral lineage from the lord of siddhas Dampa Sangye, and this lineage was passed on to her sixteen main disciples and continued up to the present time.
