On June 7, 2024, all tulkus, khenpos, acharyas, lamas, teachers, and staff of various departments of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat gathered together to celebrate the 40th birthday of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

The ceremony began at 9 am at the main shrine hall with "The Prayer of the Eight Noble Auspicious Ones," followed by an offering of a mandala along with representations of body, speech, and mind in front of a sacred image of His Holiness, a tea and sweet rice offering, and long-life prayers. After that, everyone offered a white ceremonial scarf to Gyalwang Karmapa's sacred image, which liberates upon seeing.

The program continued with a clean-up of the monastic seat's indoor spaces and environment as well as planting various medicinal plants and trees.
