On the morning of February 18, 2026, marking the dawn of the auspicious first day of the Tibetan new year in the sign of the Male Fire Horse, the monastic community of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat performed Mahakala puja and a smoke offering ritual. This sacred ceremony included offerings and praises to the Three Roots to invoke their enlightened activity, as well as an exhortation to the oath-bound Dharma protectors through the power of truth.
Following these preliminary rituals, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa entered the main shrine hall and ascended the throne. The resident and visiting monastics, together with devoted lay followers, offered ceremonial scarves in homage.
Once everyone was seated according to the monastery's traditional arrangement, auspicious ceremonial tea and sweet rice were served to the entire assembly, accompanied by elaborately arranged platters of traditional delicacies. Thus, the celebration of the Male Fire Horse New Year was observed in a joyous atmosphere.
