On February 18, 2026, the first day of the Tibetan New Year of the Fire Horse, the retreatants of the ninth batch of the Tingzin Gephel Ling monks' retreat in the Naropa tradition at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India successfully completed the traditional three-year, three-fortnight retreat. Throughout this period, they immersed themselves in the study and practice of the general stages of both the path of means and the path of liberation, together with a vast ocean of tantric sadhana practices.

Upon emerging from retreat, directors of the various departments of the monastic seat, along with numerous resident and visiting monastic and lay devotees, came to pay their respects. Thereafter, the lamas who had completed the retreat were led by the disciplinarians into the presence of Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, to whom they offered a mandala and the three sacred representations. They were then served traditional tea and sweet rice.

Following this, Guru Vajradhara graciously extended his best wishes and aspirations for the increase of their meditative experiences and realizations. He further bestowed sacred and invaluable pith instructions, likened to molten gold, and offered guidance on what to adopt and what to abandon on the path ahead.
