On the morning of February 26, 2026, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa presided over an assembly of the monastic community at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, during which he announced a series of new appointments and transfers of position for a number of lamas who had recently completed their three-year retreats, as well as several members of the administrative staff.
The positions appointed included the general discipline master and assistant disciplinarians; the junior retreat master of the Naropa Retreat Center; the education advisor, general shrine master, and senior and junior academic supervisors of the Tantric College; lamas serving in various protector temples; members of the monastic administrative staff; the discipline master and secretary of the University of Buddhist Sciences, together with staff of its departments of medicine and astrology; as well as teachers and staff of several affiliated monasteries.
In addition, Guru Vajradhara bestowed guidance regarding the proper fulfillment of these responsibilities and expressed commendation and appreciation to the outgoing staff members who had carried out their duties with diligence and distinction throughout their service. In conclusion, he graciously imparted instructions on the essential importance of cultivating pure perception toward the Buddha’s teachings of all traditions and striving in every possible way to bring benefit to others.
