From August 2 to 3, 2026, over the course of two days, the third-year students of the Master of Buddhist Sciences program in the Sanskrit Grammar Department of the University of Buddhist Sciences at the glorious Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India took their mid-term examinations in accordance with the Palpung tradition of study. The examinations covered a range of subjects, including poetics based on “The Enchanted Sea of Sarasvati's Melodies”; orthography based on “The Lamp of Speech”; the fivefold rules of sandhi; methods of mantra recitation; and the Sanskrit language.
