From September 16 to 26, 2026, the vajra master of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, together with the tulkus, lamas, khenpos, acharyas, and the entire monastic community, performed the Grand Avalokiteshvara Guhyasamaja (Red Chenrezig) drubchen.

In accordance with the tradition of Palpung Monastic Seat, which arose through the enlightened vision and supportive conditions created by the omniscient Situ Panchen and his spiritual heirs, the practices of the visual transmission lineage have been preserved without alteration at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India. Following the established tradition of performing the Vajrakilaya drubchen and Avalokiteshvara Guhyasamaja vase consecration ritual in alternate years for the welfare of the Buddha’s teachings of all traditions and all sentient beings, this year the Grand Avalokiteshvara Guhyasamaja drubchen was performed.

Beginning with the arrangement of the Guardian Kings’ pole and encompassing all the principal and subsidiary aspects of the drubchen, the assembly engaged in the sadhana and mantra accumulation continuously, day and night, throughout the eleven days.
