The Avalokiteshvara Gyalwa Gyatso Drubchö Ritual

Photos

From January 23 to 27, 2023, which coincided with the parinirvana anniversary of the 10th Tai Situ Pema Kunzang, a five-day Avalokiteshvara Gyalwa Gyatso drubchö ritual based on the five deity mandala was conducted at Palpung Yeshi Rabgyeling Nunnery by the nunnery’s khenpos, lamas, and monastic community.

This sacred transmission originated from Lord Milarepa's moon-like disciple Rechung Droje Drakpa, who received it from Machik Drubpe Gyalmo. He then brought this transmission to Tibet and transmitted it to his disciple Zangri Repa, who in turn passed it down to Drogon Rechen, after which is has been maintained uninterrupted up to today in the Karma Kamtsang lineage.
