Guru Vajradhara Bestows Karma Kagyu Empowerments

In response to the request of the entire monastic community of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, beginning on September 30, 2026, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa bestowed, over the course of one week, a series of empowerments of the Karma Kagyu Dharma cycles upon the monastic seat’s lamas, tulkus, khenpos, teachers, and the entire community of monks and nuns, and, in particular, upon the monks and nuns preparing to enter the traditional three-year, three-fortnight retreat at the monastic seat’s retreat centers.

Guru Vajradhara bestowed the empowerments of White Tara Wish-Fulfilling Wheel, Vajrakilaya, and the guru sadhanas of Marpa, Milarepa, and Gampopa; the great empowerments, together with their preparatory rituals, of Vajravarahi, Chakrasamvara, and Avalokiteshvara Jinasagara; and the empowerments of Guru Dorje Drolö and the torma empowerments of Mahakala Bernagchen, together with their auxiliary rituals. In addition, he bestowed concise pith instructions appropriate to each practice and the reading transmissions for the respective sadhanas.

Guru Vajradhara also graciously bestowed precious guidance and ethical advice beneficial both for the present and the future.
