About the PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program
PAVA started to use video conferencing transmission methods to conduct a few short term live teachings in 2011 as recent technological improvements in internet bandwidth has enabled video conferencing to be possible in enabling real-time two way audio and visual communication between parties in different locations and is now a popular means of providing education solutions.
PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program in greater detail
The PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program operates by PAVA requesting lineage masters to give teachings to participating groups located in various countries around the world through video conferencing technology. The participating groups are responsible for the direct costs incurred by the PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program such as translators' fees, internet bandwidth costs of the teacher etc. and are able to participate in all of the video conferencing programs organized by PAVA. Participating groups are currently limited to official Palpung monasteries, centers and study groups.
Through the PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program, students are able to obtain comprehensive and progressive dharma teachings and the teachings can also be preserved through modern digital technology.
Please note: The participating members of the PAVA Video Conferencing Teaching Program are limited to groups such as monasteries, centers and study groups. The group representative should register for the account online as "Center" under the option of "Type of Member" and then contact PAVA to obtain further information. Individuals can only participate in the video conferencing teachings currently provided by the teaching program. For example, please register with any of the participating groups to the Program to attend the teachings on Gampopa's Ornament of Precious Liberation currently being taught by Guru Vajradhara Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.
