Last year, Guru Vajradhara the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa reformed the syllabus of the Palpung Sherabling Tantric College in order to ensure the long-term preservation of the Buddhadharma in general and especially of the unique Palpung tradition. Guru Vajradhara improved the education programme by appointing a new headmaster and specialized teachers, expanding the syllabus and introducing a new schedule of annual, monthly and daily sadhana pujas, which are a way of implementing what was learned. Having completed this year’s classes according to the new syllabus and all the scheduled intensive sadhana practices, from February 5 to 20 the Tantric College annual examination was conducted under the supervision of the teachers and staff. The exams included subjects of Tibetan grammar, calligraphy, Bodhicharyavatara scriptures, memorising several tantric sadhanas, performing Mahakala and Guru Rinpoche sacred dances, playing various ritual instruments, making tormas and torma ornaments and making sand mandalas.
