From March 16 to 27, the 3rd Holistic Health Seminar was organised and conducted by the Palpung University for Buddhist Sciences, in cooperation with the Canadian Palpung Yeshe Dharma Centre, in accordance with Guru Vajradhara's vision and with the assistance of the Palpung Sherabling Labrang. Ninety-five participants of the seminar included all the graduates and students of the Palpung University for Buddhist Sciences, representatives of several branches of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat, Tibetan medicine students of Thrangu Tara Abbey Nunnery in Nepal, and other students from various places. The seminar provided essential education about physical and mental well-being. It consisted of explanations and practical presentations of a combination of ancient and modern approaches on different topics such as: the causes giving rise to diseases; the conditions fostering the likelihood of getting sick; the effects and negative consequences of various diseases; the methods of their treatment and eradication as well as means for maintaining and restoring good health; training in various gentle and forceful physical exercises; and workshops on nutrition.
