photos

On October 19, Guru Vajradhara the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa presided over the parinirvana ceremony for the late Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. The ceremony was requested by Khenpo Rinpoche's students and organised by the Palpung Sherabling Administration at the main shrine hall of the Palpung Sherabling Monastic College. In attendance were the monks of the Monastic College, along with all monastics of several other departments of the Monastic Seat.

A profound and extensive parinirvana ceremony was performed in the midst of clouds of offerings that delight the enlightened ones, with the mandala ritual of Kunrig Vairochana and aspiration prayers for the accomplishment of all Khenpo Rinpoche's intentions for the benefit of the Dharma and all beings.
