Palpung Sherabling is equipped with a small dispensary for the monastery and local community that was established in 1977 when the monastery was founded. It offers consultation, medicine and treatment to the Palpung Sherabling residents and visitors, as well as serving the local indigenous people.

The health worker, Tashi Dhundrup, is a Palpung Sherabling monk who has studied for 5 years (part time) at the Delek Hospital, Dharamsala and has acquired Community Health Worker certification, and laboratory proficiency.

However the lack of facilities bring many restrictions, and for this reason there is a project to build a clinic to offer isolation for infections cases, quick diagnosis of T.B., and better care of the community and surrounding area.

Now (2007), there is a local doctor, Dr. Jitender Sood, comes to Palpung Sherabling twice a week to offer medical services and treatments. Some medical groups also come here irregularly.
